“ I understand how this place was Michelin rated back in 2023. This place makes some of the best Neapolitan style pizza in the Chicago area. Cooked in a special domed oven, the charred crust is chewy and soft. Ordered their cavani pizza which had the salty speck with creamy mozzarella and other flavorful meat toppings. The slices were a wonderful start of the meal. But their classic lobster risotto was magnificent. Prepared in a rich and creamy cognac sauce and perfectly cooked lobster, an excellent entree!!! Michelin worthy!! The staff was very helpful and pleasant. ”
“ When I want Neapolitan-style pizza, Nella is for sure my go-to. They have a wide selection that means I can always try something new or go with a favorite of mine. The rest of their classic Italian dishes are all amazing, too. Their Contadina risotto is my absolute favorite thing on the menu, it's like a mushroom risotto which is already one of my favorite foods but with sausage and walnuts to take it to the next level. But no matter what you order here, it's sure to be incredible. Plus, the staff is super friendly and attentive, and the interior is very comforting and beautiful ”
“ I was Taken here on November 6th for a Birthday dinner.With the Hess girls I was very impressed. I don't eat Parmesian or Romano cheese Even though I'm Italian I think that's what the Shaker on the table is for. I go to some of the finest Italian Restaurants in Chicago and they all cook with Parm and Romano .To my surprise I actually got to eat a dish of homemade spaghetti with clams and tomatoes with no cheese Actually the best dish I've had In Chicago. Keep up the great work Chef And keep that Shaker on the table for people that do love cheese. I LOVED YOUR PASTA ”
“ revisited for the first time in years for a friend’s chicago marathon carbo-load and it was just as wonderful as i remembered. the food was delicious, and our server’s recommendations were fantastic. my only complaint is that we felt a draft come in every time the door opened despite there being two sets of double doors, and that our table was definitely too small for how many dishes we ordered we tried the insalata di mare, funghi e salsiccia pizza, ciotta ciotta stuffed pizza, marathon spaghetti & meatballs, paccheri alla boscaiola pasta, sarracino pasta, scialatielli di nella pasta, and chocolate lava cake. their pizzas are delicious, but their pastas were definitely the highlight for me. i especially enjoyed the scialatielli di nella, which was a red sauce pasta with lobster and other seafood flavors. the mussels in it were super tasty, and they melted in my mouth when they were warm ”
